IgCares – Infusion Support 1.2.0

The following is an overview of the IgCares™ app, designed to support patients with primary immunodeficiency (PI) and their caregivers.

Thrombosis Risk with Immune Globulin Products

Thrombosis may occur with immune globulin products, including CUTAQUIG (Immune Globulin Subcutaneous [Human]-HIPP, 16.5% solution). Risk factors include:

• Advanced age
• Prolonged immobilization
• Hypercoagulable conditions
• History of venous or arterial thrombosis
• Use of estrogens
• Indwelling vascular catheters
• Hyperviscosity
• Cardiovascular risk factors

For patients at risk of thrombosis, it is advisable to administer CUTAQUIG at the minimum dose and infusion rate practicable. Ensure adequate hydration prior to administration and monitor for signs and symptoms of thrombosis. Assess blood viscosity in patients at risk of hyperviscosity.

App Features and Support Resources

The IgCares app provides a range of tools to enhance treatment management for those with primary immunodeficiency.

PI Treatment Management Features:

• Treatment details: Track infusion schedules, doses, volumes, and pump information.
• Infusion tracking: Keep records of infusion duration, sites used, product details, and notes.
• Vial scanning: Record details from infusion vials using devices running iOS 13 or newer.
• Side effects tracking: Document side effects and take photos when relevant.
• Health tracking: Monitor health indicators such as illnesses, IgG levels, pain, and fatigue.
• Automated reminders: Set notifications for scheduled infusions and prescription refills.

Educational Content:

The app includes diverse educational materials on topics such as PI management and lifestyle tips. Examples are:

Insurance Benefits Support & Co-Pay Assistance:

The IgCares Support Center allows users to connect with Program Specialists regarding insurance benefits and co-pay assistance, available for eligible patients using an Octapharma SCIg treatment.

Nurse Support:

Registered nurses are accessible via the Support Center to provide information about treatment expectations and address related concerns.

Infusion Materials Recycling Program:

The IgCares program includes a recycling initiative that repurposes infusion supplies and packaging into energy. Patients can enroll directly through the app as part of Octapharma’s commitment to health and environmental sustainability.

Charitable Giving Initiative:

This initiative allows participants to earn donation points through activities like logging infusions or accessing educational content. Each point translates into a dollar donated by Octapharma to a charity selected by participants.
